Manic Monday Mania!!!

Yes folks, it is Monday again already!  Some folks are fortunate enough to have a holiday today! Good for you! Since it is Monday  and I am finally here with my computer all nice and fixed, I am jumping back into the swing of things!

The last few months have made life difficult and I have been a bit run down. The twins were sick again, the holidays are always hectic and never "fun" as they should be it seems. My computer screen went out on me and well life was just a bit overly dramatic and aggravating for the final months of 2012.  Now that it is a New Year, I am believing that things are gonna be better.

One of the things that I tend to forget when everything is going wrong is that I need a little fun in my life or else I will go crazy. This throught process brought me back to the 80's and Cyndi Lauper!

"Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" was released by Cyndi Lauper on September 6th, 1983.  It is the single on side A of her "She's So Unusual" album.  Here is the crazy video of Cyndi performing "Girl's Just Wanna Have Fun".  Enjoy!

Girls Just Want To Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper
I come home in the morning light
My mother says when you gonna live your life right
Oh mother dear we're not the fortunate ones
And girls just want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have fun
The phone rings in the middle of the night
My father yells what you gonna do with your life
Oh daddy dear you know you're still number one
But girls they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have--
That's all they really want
Some fun
When the working day is done
Girls-- they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have fun
Some boys take a beautiful girl
And hide her away from the rest of the world
I want to be the one to walk in the sun
Oh girls they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have
That's all they really want
Some fun
When the working day is done
Girls--they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have fun,
They want to have fun,
They want to have fun...

    1. Ahhh yes, the Bangles! That song really inspired me from the beginning. The Manic Monday Mania is a regular thing for me. I have been coping with my Monday's by listening to the wonderful music I grew up with in the 80's and I post about it on Mondays. Here is the link to my very first post inspired in part by the Bangles song. http://lovejoyjunction.blogspot.com/2012/08/manic-monday-mania.html

  4. Anything 80's pop music is fun in my book. I love the 80's music. I have to laugh as I see a lot of the 80's clothing styles coming back too.

  8. We love turning on the 80s station and rocking out around the house as we're cleaning. The kids think they're new songs and love them.

    1. I bet that is fun. We don't even have an 80's station. I really wish we did! Thanks for stopping by.
